Hanoi [Vietnam], August 9: Phuong My Chi has confirmed her return to the music scene with a new music video titled " Heaven with My Lover ." This product marks a more mature and feminine image for the singer, as she incorporates a love story as one of the emotional themes in her music for the first time.
In recent days, Phuong My Chi has continuously piqued fans' curiosity by sharing many images and content related to her journey of exploring culture, along with details hinting at a love story and a wedding. In particular, the series of images with traditional elements posted by the singer quickly attracted attention on social media, leading to much speculation about a new music project.
In the song "Heaven with My Lover ," Phuong My Chi collaborates with actor Bao Dinh (who played Suu in the film "Battle in the Air "). Bao Dinh is one of the young actors who has attracted audience attention recently. Meanwhile, Phuong My Chi is not only known for her journey of growth and dedication to folk music, but also for her participation in blockbuster film projects such as " The Ancestral House."
This collaboration is considered a rather novel choice, and it opens up many predictions about how the singer born in 2003 will tell the story of her first love through music and visuals.
Beyond the curiosity surrounding the love story or the collaboration between Phuong My Chi and Bao Dinh, incorporating Khmer culture has become an important part of " Paradise with My Loved One." After the first images were revealed, the teaser quickly attracted attention. The teaser opens with a space heavily influenced by Khmer architecture, featuring distinctive structures, intricate decorative patterns, and a consistent golden hue, creating a feeling that is both ancient and mystical.
For Phuong My Chi, choosing Khmer culture this time is therefore not simply a visual decision. Initial feedback suggests that the way the singer incorporates cultural elements into her love story is generating considerable curiosity, while also opening up a new avenue for young audiences to explore meaningful cultural values. Entering the world of art at the age of 10, Phuong My Chi left a lasting impression on the public with her image as a "folk music girl" and her sweet, clear voice. In 2023, her album " Vu Tru Co Bay" (The Crane's Flight in the Universe) marked a shift in her music, combining folk elements with the modern sensibilities of the DTAP group, while also demonstrating her efforts to refresh her image after many years of focusing on folk music. Her journey at Sing! Asia (2025) and the "Em Xinh Say Hi" (You're Beautiful, Say Hi) program further helped Phuong My Chi expand her reach, connect with younger audiences, and showcase diverse musical styles.
Three years after the milestone of "The Flying Stork Universe," the female singer continues to show another step forward in her maturity. While audiences were previously familiar with the image of a simple girl associated with folk music , the first images of " Heaven with My Lover " reveal a gentler, more graceful, feminine, and mature Phuong My Chi. Notably, this is also the first time she has used a love story as the main theme in a musical product, thereby expressing emotions relatable to her age and personal experiences.
Recently, Phuong My Chi has continued to appear on various stages, programs, and artistic projects. However, she hasn't released any new music since her projects related to " The Flying Stork Universe ." Therefore, "Heaven with My Lover" is seen as a continuation in the singer's musical journey, and also shows how she chooses themes closer to her personal life and emotions.
The music video for "Heaven with My Lover" will be released at 8 PM on August 10th on Phuong My Chi's YouTube channel and other current digital music platforms.
