Hanoi [Vietnam], June 7: There are some names that, even after decades away from the stage, still evoke nostalgia in audiences whenever they are mentioned. Tam Ca Áo Trắng (The White Shirt Trio) is one of them.
Over 30 years ago, the three sisters Tuyet Ngan, Minh Thu, and Minh Tu stepped onto the stage with a pure and approachable image, performing songs about school life, family, and hometown. They were not only a famous music group but also became a symbol of family unity in the Vietnamese music scene of the 1990s. Then, while still beloved by the audience, the White Shirt Trio gradually withdrew from the spotlight. Without scandals or tumultuous breakups, the three sisters quietly embarked on different paths: becoming wives, mothers, and building new lives abroad.
Today, after more than two decades away from their homeland, the life of the White Shirt Trio in America is no longer about touring or resounding applause. Instead, it's about family meals, reunions with children and grandchildren, and the simple happiness of seeing loved ones safe and sound.
Unforgettable memories of youth.
Recalling the golden years of the White Shirt Trio, Tuyet Ngan still couldn't hide her emotions. For her, the most beautiful thing wasn't the fame or the packed stages, but the love that family and the public had given to the three sisters throughout their youth.
"It was a beautiful, pure time filled with the love of family and fans for the White Shirt Trio. All of these are wonderful memories that I will never forget," the singer shared.
More than 20 years have passed since the group almost ceased operations, but the songs of Tam Ca Áo Trắng are still remembered by many generations of audiences. This makes the three sisters always feel grateful and appreciative. Perhaps that's why, even though life has changed, they have never considered music as a part of their lives that has ended.
Like many other artists, the journey of settling abroad hasn't always been a bed of roses. Tuyet Ngan admits that her life has had its ups and downs, its difficult times that she prefers not to dwell on.
"There were some shocks I don't want to talk about anymore. It's all in the past now. What I'm always secretly grateful for is that those experiences helped me have a more peaceful and better present," she confided.
Currently, Tuyet Ngan lives in Tennessee. After many years of hard work in business, the singer has a stable life and spends most of her time with her family. On her personal page, she often shares pictures of family gatherings in her spacious house in the US. On holidays, festivals, or special occasions, relatives and friends often gather together, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere that many people admire.
