Havana [Cuba], April 21: On the morning of April 19 (local time), within the framework of an official visit to the Republic of Cuba, in Havana, National Assembly Chairman VuongDinh Hue and a high-ranking delegation of the National Assembly of Vietnam met with officials and staff. The Vietnamese Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community are currently living, studying and working in Cuba.
At the meeting, representatives of some Vietnamese enterprises investing in Cuba such as Viglacera Corporation, Thai Binh Company shared about their activities here. Along with that, overseas Vietnamese in Cuba mostly participate in projects of Vietnamese enterprises . Representatives of businesses expect the authorities as well as the Intergovernmental Committee of the two countries to continue to remove difficulties; believes that the two countries will soon reach the target of 500 million USD in bilateral trade turnover as set out by the leaders of the two countries.
At the meeting, representatives of union members and young people living and studying in Cuba said that young people mainly study general medicine, Spanish language, media, and fine arts.
Speaking at the meeting, the National Assembly Chairman wished the Embassy, business community, students and students to continue to be deeply aware of the special, exemplary and faithful relationship between Vietnam and Cuba. This is a key factor to preserve and continue to develop the special relationship of the two countries. The President of the National Assembly wishes that the Vietnamese community in Cuba continue to care for each other and unite more, forming a bloc that is not large, but must be strong to share and support each other; The spirit and mettle must be the same as that of Cuba.
On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman VuongDinh Hue symbolically presented a number of books in the bookcase about President Ho Chi Minh's life and career to the Vietnamese Embassy and community in Cuba.
