Hanoi [Vietnam], May 6: Actress Thùy Anh announced that she won the lawsuit related to an incident that occurred while participating in the film project 'Turning Point' produced by Hỏa Thổ Media Joint Stock Company.
Actress Thuy Anh posted on her personal page, which has approximately 286,000 followers, about the outcome of the legal dispute related to the film project " Turning Point ". According to the actress, the Arbitration Council of the Vietnam International Arbitration Center ruled in her favor in the case against Hoa Tho Media Joint Stock Company.
In the article, Thùy Anh stated that after pursuing the case through arbitration procedures, her requests were "considered and accepted." According to the ruling mentioned by the actress, Hoa Tho Media Joint Stock Company is obligated to compensate her for the losses she suffered.
The actress stated that the ruling recognized her legitimate rights and interests, while emphasizing the principles of workplace safety and legal responsibility . "Any act of evading responsibility or shifting risks to workers must be held accountable under the law," Thùy Anh shared.
In addition, she expressed her hope that all parties involved would seriously implement the ruling in accordance with the law, and also thanked the team of lawyers and consultants who had accompanied her throughout the dispute resolution process.
According to the actress's post, the incident stemmed from an accident that occurred during filming for a production by Hoa Tho Media Joint Stock Company. Thuy Anh claims it was an unintentional accident during filming and asserts that she was acting according to the pre-agreed script.
Based on her own experience, the actress expressed hope that this incident would lead to continued attention to the working environment in the entertainment industry to ensure safety, respect, and fairness for all participants. According to her, workers should not have to suffer both physical and mental harm while also facing legal disputes alone.
She also apologized if the recent disputes had affected the audience and those involved. "My faith in the fairness and strictness of the law has finally been put in the right place," Thùy Anh wrote on her personal page.
Thùy Anh and the production team had disagreements in the past.
Previously, on August 29, 2024, a representative of Hoa Tho Media Joint Stock Company issued a notice regarding the termination of their collaboration with Thuy Anh on the " Turning Point " project . In the notice, the company claimed that the actress had violated confidentiality obligations and demanded compensation amounting to 20 billion VND.
The announcement also stated the possibility of referring the matter to the competent authorities if the demands were not met within the given timeframe. The incident subsequently attracted public attention as both sides held differing views regarding responsibility following the incident during filming.
For her part, Thùy Anh disagreed with the company's statements. The actress said the incident that occurred during filming was unintentional, and added that she personally covered most of the subsequent treatment costs .
Differences in viewpoints and the determination of responsibility between the two parties were then submitted to arbitration procedures in accordance with the law for resolution.
To date, Hoa Tho Media Joint Stock Company has not issued any new public response regarding Thuy Anh's announcement of winning the lawsuit. The details of the arbitration ruling have also not been fully disclosed.
